Serie B side Latina Calcio are expected to confirm the signing of Federico Viviani from Roma on loan later today.

Viviani had been heading for Leeds United, but unspecified issues derailed his move to Elland Road, while his agent claimed after consulting with his family, the midfielder wanted to remain close to home.

The Roma starlet spent the latter half of last season on loan at Latina Calcio, just an hour's drive from the Italian capital.

Now he is set to return on a similar loan deal with the announcement of his arrival set to be forthcoming today, according to Sky Italia.

Viviani's move is now in the process of being finalised, much to the delight of the Serie B club, who had been keen on welcoming him back.
