Liverpool are moving to open talks with Inter over the capture of Mauro Icardi, as they look to add further teeth to their attack.

The 22-year-old striker is wanted by Liverpool, who are ready to deal with Inter for his arrival, according to Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.



Icardi has already been linked with leaving Inter this summer, with Stoke City and Monaco both looking in his direction.

The player's agent was quick to respond to the speculation and stress the former Barcelona youth team prospect is committed to the Nerazzurri.

 


Albian Morano said: "Icardi is 100% with Inter and now just wants to win at Inter."

It remains to be seen if interest from Liverpool will cause a rethink on the part of the 21-year-old, who recently turned out for Inter in their tour of the United States, but who now faces opposition for a first team spot from Pablo Osvaldo, joining on loan from Southampton.
