Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola has rubbished rumours linking Jerome Boateng with a move to Barcelona this summer.

Barcelona are actively scouring the market for defenders and Boateng became the latest addition to a long line of defenders who have been linked with a move to the Catalan giants.

It was reported earlier today that a bid of around €39m for the German World Cup winner might convince the Bavarians to sanction his sale.

Boateng played a crucial role in Germany winning the World Cup in Brazil and was pivotal in Bayern Munich’s league and cup double last season.

Guardiola, who is also a former Barcelona manager, has strongly hit back the suggestion that Boateng is on his way out.

He has confirmed that the defender is “100%” in his plans for next season.

"I don't usually say anything about things I read in the newspaper, but I am planning 100 per cent with him here”, the Spaniard was quoted as saying by ITV.
