Stephane Adam, coach of Lille's second string, believes Liverpool have scored a real coup in snapping up Divock Origi, a player he says reminds him of none other than Patrick Kluivert.

Liverpool recently tied up the capture of Origi from Lille for a fee of around €13m. However, as part of the deal, the Belgium international will spend next season back at Lille on loan before heading to Anfield in 2015.

Even though they have to wait, Adam feels Liverpool have struck a good deal in signing Origi, and has poured a bucket of praise onto a striker he has watched develop at close quarters.

"He reminds me of Patrick Kluivert – fast, strong and technically far above the norm", Adam explained to French daily Le Parisien.

"I'm not really surprised. When I worked with him with Lille Under-19s, you got the impression that he was playing football with his little brothers.

"Divock has the qualities to be a world-class player", Adam concluded.

Origi managed 30 appearances in Ligue 1 for Lille last season, hitting the back of the net on five occasions.

The striker, who took part in this summer's World Cup with Belgium, will be aiming to record a better tally before heading to Liverpool in 2015.
