West Ham are continuing their pursuit of Sampdoria midfielder Pedro Obiang, but the Italian club are in no mood to slash their asking price for the 22-year-old.

The Hammers are firm fans of the former Atletico Madrid youth team product and are keen to take him to Upton Park this summer.

But according to Italian daily Tuttosport, Sampdoria have slapped a non-negotiable €6m asking price on the Spaniard's head.

Sampdoria are not planning to sell Obiang and are content to keep him at the club unless West Ham hit the €6m asking price mark.

Obiang joined the Serie A outfit in 2008, linking up with the club's youth ranks before graduating to the senior side two years later.
