Tottenham Hotspur won't sell winger Andros Townsend, despite interest from QPR and Southampton, according to ITV.

Townsend, who missed this summer's World Cup through injury, has been linked with leaving White Hart Lane in recent days.



The 23-year-old has been mooted as a target for both QPR and Southampton, with the latter said to be ready to offer £10m for the England international.

But Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino does not want to lose Townsend and is ready to reject any offers that arrive.

 


The winger, who picked up an ankle injury towards in the second half of the last campaign, came off the bench to feature in Tottenham's 1-0 win over West Ham in their Premier League opener yesterday.

And it appears he remains central to Pochettino's thoughts as Spurs enter a season where a top four finish will again be the aim at White Hart Lane.

Townsend had a number of loan spells away from Spurs before breaking through into the club's first team.

He turned out for Yeovil, Leyton Orient, MK Dons, Ipswich, Watford, Millwall, Leeds, Birmingham and QPR.
