Chelsea winger Marko Marin has joined Italian Serie A outfit Fiorentina on a season-long loan deal.

The Blues today confirmed the switch, wishing the Germany winger all the best during his time with La Viola.

Marin spent last season on loan in Spain with Sevilla and helped Los Rojiblancos enjoy a successful campaign, winning the Europa League.

However, first team chances at Stamford Bridge are limited and Chelsea have chosen to once again send Marin out on loan.

Chelsea snapped up Marin from Werder Bremen in 2012, however he struggled to cement a spot in the club's starting eleven.

The winger had been linked with a return to his native Germany, but will now bid to earn regular first team football at Fiorentina under Vincenzo Montella.

Marin has won 16 caps for Germany since making his international debut in 2008.
