Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has fired the starting gun on the scramble for winger Angel di Maria and midfielder Sami Khedira.

Question marks linger over the future of both players at Real Madrid and Ancelotti has conceded that the pair could well leave the club, admitting Di Maria wants to go, while Khedira has refused to sign a new contract.

Di Maria has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United throughout the summer, while Khedira is a target for Arsenal and Fiorentina.

Asked about the pair, Ancelotti was quoted as saying by Sky Italia: "If Di Maria doesn't find a solution for his future, we would be happy to welcome him back when the transfer market is over.

"He asked to leave, he didn't accept a proposal for the renewal of the contract.
