Turkish giants Besiktas are keen on snapping up FC Porto attacking midfielder Juan Quintero on a season-long loan deal.

Quintero has been strongly linked with a move to Arsene Wenger's Arsenal this summer, but Besiktas want to see the Colombian plying his trade at the Vodafone Arena in Istanbul throughout 2014/15.

According to Portuguese daily A Bola, the Black Eages want Quintero on a season-long loan and are willing to pay FC Porto a loan fee of €1m for the privilege.

Despite being tipped for big things, Quintero was used mainly from the bench by Porto last term, clocking up a total of 22 appearances in the Primeira Liga.

It remains to be seen if the Portuguese giants are willing to consider loaning the 21-year-old to ensure he receives regular first team football, but Besiktas are pushing hard for his signature.

Ironically Besiktas are currently locked in battle with Quintero's other suitors, Arsenal, in a bid to reach the group stage of the Champions League.

The first leg between the two sides ended 0-0 in Turkey, leaving the tie on a knife-edge heading into the second leg at the Emirates Stadium.
