French midfielder Paul Pogba is close to signing a new five-year contract with Juventus.

The France international has been linked with a move away from the Bianconeri this summer and a number of top clubs are ready to lay out the red carpet for Pogba.

However, earlier this year the Frenchman pledged his future to Juventus and said that he is not going to leave the club.

Juventus are keen to hold onto one of Europe’s hottest young midfield talents and are ready to make the Frenchman one of the top earners at the club.

The Juventus hierarchy have held talks with Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, and a deal has been agreed in principle, according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Bianconeri are ready to offer a five-year contract to the 21-year-old with a salary of around €5m per season, exclusive of bonus payments.

If Pogba signs the new contract then he will become one of the top earners in Italian football.

The Frenchman has made 88 appearances for the club and has earned 15 international caps for France.
