QPR manager Harry Redknapp admits he cannot say whether talks over striker Loic Remy joining Tottenham Hotspur have taken place at board level.

Remy, who saw a move to Liverpool collapse earlier this summer due to medical concerns, has been strongly linked with heading to White Hart Lane to boost Tottenham's attacking options.

Redknapp insists however that he has had no contact with Spurs over Remy, a player he is hoping to keep, although he cannot say whether QPR chairman Tony Fernandes and Spurs chairman Daniel Levy have discussed the Frenchman.

"Not really [there’s not been contact], not as far as I know", Redknapp told a press conference.

"I've not spoken to anyone at Tottenham about him.

"We want to keep Loic."

Redknapp also pointed out he is confident that Remy will be at Loftus Road when the transfer window slams shut on 1st September, as he believes the striker is enjoying life at the club.

"I'm confident he'll be here when the window closes. I've spoken to him and his attitude has been first class.

"He's enjoying it here."
