Manchester United are ready to switch their attention to Inter midfielder Fredy Guarin if they cannot hammer out a deal with Juventus for Arturo Vidal.

The Red Devils are hoping to follow up their British transfer record capture of Angel di Maria by completing a deal for Vidal, despite having made little progress in that direction over the summer.

Manchester United will try for Vidal once again but are already planning for what they might do if they cannot land the Chilean.

According to Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset, the Red Devils want Inter's Guarin.

The Colombian is also being chased by Russian giants Zenit St. Petersburg, but the club want to secure their spot in the Champions League group stage before making a bid.

Guarin has also interested Juventus, who have his name on a shortlist of potential players to replace Vidal, if the midfielder is sold to Manchester United.

Louis van Gaal's men have picked up one point from their opening two Premier League games so far this season.
