Serie A giants Roma have completed the signing of defender Kostas Manolas from Olympiacos, winning the race for the Greece international.

Manolas had been strongly linked with Arsene Wenger's Arsenal, while Juventus also held an interest in the starlet. But it is Roma who have grabbed his signature.

Roma have announced they have paid Olympiacos €13m for the Greece international, while Manolas has penned a contract with the Giallorossi running until 2019.

The 23-year-old, who started his career at Thrasyvoulos, will be presented as a Roma player at 15:00 CET tomorrow.

Manolas started his rise to prominence when he joined AEK Athens in 2009, starring for the capital club for three years before signing for Olympiacos.
