Mubarak Wakaso completed his season-long loan deal to Celtic from Rubin Kazan earlier today.

Reports of Celtic’s interest in the Ghana international emerged last week and the Hoops would have ideally liked to complete the deal earlier, before their Champions League playoff tie with NK Maribor.

The Ghana FA announced the deal on Tuesday last week, but there was no official announcement from either of the two clubs.

However, the deal is complete and the 24-year-old will join the rest of the squad tomorrow at Celtic Park and is in line to make his debut this weekend.

Wakaso joined Rubin Kazan last summer after spells in Spain with Espanyol, Villarreal and Elche. He will not be playing Champions League football at Celtic however, following the Bhoys' elimination by Maribor.
