French Ligue 1 side Marseille have confirmed that midfielder Morgan Amalfitano has headed to West Ham.
The Hammers have moved quickly today to complete the signing of a player who spent last term on loan at West Brom and impressed in the Premier League.
Marseille were keen to offload Amalfitano to take the midfielder off the club's wage bill.
Now Amalfitano will continue his career at Upton Park under Sam Allardyce.
The 29-year-old, who has won one senior cap for France, joined Marseille in 2011 from Lorient.
