West Ham are moving to close a deal for Getafe midfielder Pedro Leon.

The Hammers have sold midfielder Mohamed Diame to Hull City today and are looking to add to their squad before the transfer window slams shut.

The man on the Hammers' radar is none other than Leon, according to Madrid-based daily Marca.

The 27-year-old had a spell with Real Madrid, having impressed at Getafe, who eventually brought him back from the Bernabeu after he struggled to make an impact with Los Blancos.

West Ham would consider Leon's signing a coup and are pushing to put it over the line before the window slams shut in a matter of hours.
