The father of 15-year-old Norwegian sensation Martin Odegaard says a who's who of European football want his son, but insists that a decision over where the midfielder will continue his development will not be based on monetary factors.

Odegaard recently became the youngest ever player to represent Norway when he turned out in a friendly against the United Arab Emirates.



The starlet, who has broken through at club side Stromsgodset and impressed in the Norwegian top flight, has been linked with a whole host of clubs, including Manchester United and Liverpool.

Real Madrid are even said be be willing to make the midfielder a millionaire if he agrees to move to the Bernabeu.

 


For the player's father Hans-Erik, Martin's development must come before money, no matter what sums are offered.

"Of course, I cannot mention any names, but if you mention the name of a club to me you can guarantee they've stopped for a look", the midfielder's father explained to Verdens Gang.

"The development of Martin is paramount", Hans-Erik insisted.

"Once we start thinking about other things that stalls his development", he added.

Martin has made 16 appearances in the Norwegian top flight for Stromsgodset so far this season, scoring three goals and providing five assists.
