Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino has revealed he is "confused" over which manager to appoint at Elland Road and as a result will leave interim boss Neil Redfearn in charge for the time being.

Cellino sacked David Hockaday after Leeds lost three of their opening four Championship games, putting Redfearn in temporary charge.

Redfearn, who stepped up from his academy duties, won his first match in charge at the weekend, against Bolton Wanderers.

Now Cellino will leave the 49-year-old in place as he is confused about who to choose to lead the team instead.

"I've decided to leave the team to Neil. For the moment it's the best thing to do", he told the BBC.

"At the moment too many coaches call me and I'm confused.

"I think it's best to keep going with a Leeds man right now, that knows football and makes the team play in a beautiful way", the Italian concluded.

A number of managers have been linked with the Leeds role, including former Watford boss Giuseppe Sannino and ex-West Brom manager Steve Clarke.
