Danny Rose believes Sunderland will be tough opponents for Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.
Spurs suffered a humiliating 3-0 loss to Liverpool at home before the international break after an impressive start to their season.
Rose, who spent the 2012/13 season on loan to Sunderland, feels that the Black Cats are always dangerous at home against any opponents in the league.
Spurs won the corresponding fixture at Sunderland last season 2-1, but Rose is sure that they need to work harder this time around to get another positive result.
“It will be a hard game, as they always are up there”, 24-year-old told the club’s official site.

“They have changed a lot of personnel since I was there but I think it will be a different game to the 5-1 victory we had at White Hart Lane last season.”
Rose stressed that Tottenham need to put up a better defensive performance this weekend than they did against Liverpool, who breached their backline on three occasions.
“Our goal as a team, no matter who we play against, is to try and keep a clean sheet and we’ll be looking to try and rectify our result and performance against Liverpool.”
After two wins and a loss, Spurs are sixth in the Premier League table on six points.
