Celtic manager Ronny Deila expects John Guidetti to bang in the goals for the Bhoys once he settles into life with the Scottish champions.

Deila handed Guidetti, who is on loan at Celtic for the season from Manchester City, his debut in the club's 2-1 Scottish Premiership win over Aberdeen on Saturday.

The striker came on as a substitute in the 61st minute at Celtic Park and Deila was happy with what he saw from the Swede.

However, the Norwegian expects much improvement to come from the hitman, who he feels will score on a regular basis when he is up to speed.

"I expect that we will get Guidetti to be quick, fit and sharp and then I expect a lot of goals", Deila told the club's site.

"If we win games, that’s important, but he has a good attitude, he wants things and we have good strikers at the club who can take us up to the next stage and he is one of them", he added.

Deila also handed Celtic debuts to Aleksandar Tonev and Stefan Scepovic against Aberdeen.

The Bhoys now take a break from league action and turn their attention to a Europa League clash with Red Bull Salzburg on Thursday.
