Former Manchester United midfielder Shinji Kagawa has dubbed his return to Borussia Dortmund "indescribable".

Kagawa joined Manchester United from Dortmund in 2012, but struggled to establish himself at Old Trafford and was sold back to the Ruhr giants this summer.

He made his second debut for Dortmund in this weekend's Bundesliga clash against Freiburg, a game which finished 3-1 in his side's favour and in which he scored.

And Kagawa has been quick to express his delight at a dream return to action for Jurgen Klopp's men.

"What I feel right now is difficult to describe", the Japan international was quoted as saying by ITV.

"But it's definitely a feeling of great joy to have been able to play in this stadium again. I had goosebumps.

"When the whole South Stand called my name, it was an indescribable feeling.

"It was a very warm-hearted welcome. The fans had already welcomed me back and that gave me even more motivation to play well for them, and I think I managed that against Freiburg."
