Patrice Evra has revealed that Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri's training sessions are tougher than Sir Alex Ferguson's regime at Manchester United was.

The France left-back played under Ferguson from 2006 until 2013 at Old Trafford, picking up numerous honours with Manchester United during a glittering spell.

He opted to leave the Red Devils this summer though to head to Italian champions Juventus, and now trains under former AC Milan boss Allegri.

And Evra has revealed he is more than being put through his paces by Allegri, while stressing the tactical nature of the Italian game.

"I'm working hard in training. I've never worked so hard in my entire life", he told Sky Italia.

"The difference [between the Premier League and Serie A] is that it [Italy] is less intense, very tactical, you have to be more focused, you have to be careful about everything.

"Tactics in Italy are so important and you have to make more sacrifices for your team-mates."

Asked whether Allegri is a harder taskmaster than Ferguson, Evra replied: "Yes."
