Nicklas Bendtner insists he is not bothered by criticism he has received in England and is focusing on turning over a new leaf with Wolfsburg.

The Denmark international was released at the end of his contract by Arsenal earlier this summer and eventually linked up with Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg.

He will quickly be returning to England on Thursday however when the Wolves take on Everton at Goodison Park in the Europa League.

Bendtner was consistently been dogged by controversy and criticism in England. But the striker claims he has now put that out of his mind and is not out to prove a point against Everton.

"That doesn't interest me at all to be honest", he told Bild.

"It is important that I am satisfied with myself, that VfL [Wolfsburg] are pleased with me, and I now have the chance to work with the team to achieve something great."

And Bendtner knows that Everton will prove to be difficult opponents.

"Each team in England knows that if you play at Everton it is really hard.

"They have a great coach, I like him very much.

"I'm looking forward to the game", he added.
