Borussia Dortmund midfielder Sebastian Kehl believes Arsenal will pose a “bigger challenge” to his side than their recent Bundesliga opponents Freiburg.

BVB, who will face Arsenal at Signal Iduna Park in the Champions League tomorrow, started their Bundesliga campaign with a 2-0 loss against Bayer Leverkusen last month.

But Jurgen Klopp’s men won their next two league fixtures against Augsburg and Freiburg by 3-2 and 3-1 scorelines, with the latter coming at the weekend.

And Kehl, who feels his side have boosted their confidence with the back-to-back wins, is however of the opinion that Arsenal are a superior team to Freiburg.

“The wins in Augsburg and against Freiburg were a must. It was more important that we have boosted our confidence for Tuesday’s game against Arsenal", he told the club's official site.

“We are definitively on the up now. But Arsenal will surely be a bigger challenge than Freiburg."

Dortmund last won a home fixture against Arsenal in 2002, and Kehl declared that his side will be looking to buck the trend tomorrow.

“It’s been a while since our last home win over Arsenal. So we have some making up to do.”

Apart from Arsenal, Dortmund have been joined by Galatasaray and Anderlecht in Group D of the Champions League.
