Marco Verratti’s agent Donato Di Campli has ruled out a possible move back to Italy for his client.

The Italian international signed a new five-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain earlier today and as a result will receive a hefty pay package.

The 21-year-old joined the Parisians from Italian side Pescara in 2012 and has developed into one of the brightest young midfield talents in Europe.

His agent expressed his happiness at his client signing a new deal with the French champions and said that the long contract proves how valued the youngster is in the French capital.

"We are very pleased after signing the new contract”, De Campli told Tutto Mercato.

“Such a deal was in the air for a while and yesterday we fleshed out the whole agreement.

“PSG understood that Marco is important for them and so they accommodated the boy with a very long contract.”

De Campli ruled out a move back to Italy for Verratti as he believes none of the country's clubs have the financial resource to afford the Italian international.

He believes that the financial condition in Italy is not fit enough for elite players to play in Serie A and De Campli firmly puts the blame on the people running the clubs.

“There is no chance of him moving to the Serie A especially taking into the consideration the financial aspect.

“During the summer no club from Italy enquired about Marco as no one has the financial resources to buy him. Unfortunately, our football is paying for the choices of its directors.”
