Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho believes that his legacy in the Champions League is secure, even though he would like to win the competition again.

Mourinho has won the competition twice with FC Porto and Inter Milan, but has suffered a number of semi-final heartbreaks with Chelsea and Real Madrid.

However, indicating towards Sir Alex Ferguson’s two triumphs in the Champions League with Manchester United, Mourinho feel his legacy in Europe’s elite club competition is already secured.

“In this country, you have the greatest manager of them all who won it two times”, the Portuguese said in a press conference today.

“So from this moment if I don't win one more match in the Champions League my history is there – I won it twice and this is something to be proud of.”

The former Real Madrid manager insisted that he still wants to win the competition, but he is only concentrating on Chelsea qualifying from the group stage before fantasising about winning the tournament.

“Of course I want to win it again. I have many years ahead of me and of course I want to win it again – but in this moment I only think about this championship of six matches and three matches, and we have to do everything to qualify.”

Chelsea are placed in Group G alongside Schalke, Sporting Lisbon and NK Maribor.

The Blues will host Schalke in their first Champions League fixture tomorrow at Stamford Bridge.
