Leeds United interim boss Neil Redfearn is developing an appreciation for Italian striker Mirco Antenucci, who scored his side's third goal in their 3-1 win away at Bournemouth this evening.

Redfearn's men started as underdogs at Bournemouth and fell behind after six minutes, heading in 1-0 behind at the break.

Leeds though grew into the match in the second period and goals from Souleymane Doukara, Giuseppe Bellusci and Antenucci secured an impressive win for the Whites.

Redfearn, who is filling in as senior team boss while the club look for a permanent appointment, is learning to love Antenucci, a player he has dubbed "underrated".

"I thought he was our best player tonight. I thought his work rate and his endeavour, and his will to work…he played in two or three different positions to keep us in it", he told LUTV, praising the Italian.

"He's got touch and awareness, and he's got good technique. He's an underrated player. I think he's a good player."

The 30-year-old was snapped up by Leeds from Italian outfit Ternana.

Antenucci scored 19 goals in Serie B last term.
