Celtic boss Ronny Deila believes that his team will get good results both at domestic level as well as in Europe if they can come up with "good performances" on a consistant basis.

The Bhoys managed to hold Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg to a 2-2 draw away from home in the Europa League last night, thus giving the manager reasons to smile.

According to Delia the draw was particularly important because it came against a side who employed a high-intensity pressing game and enjoyed periods of possession.

While insisting on having more possession in away games, Deila added that if his team are at the top of their game every time, they will get good results both in Scotland as well as in European competition.

“Good performances give you confidence", Deila told his club's official site.

"When we perform well, we get better as a team and get better results.

"It’s important to take every game and training session very seriously as then we will continue to improve and look like the team we want to be, and get results.

“We want to have more hold of the ball in the away games as well, but Salzburg were hard to play against as they press so hard.

"We knew, though, that if we got over the initial pressure, we would get chances and we did that, so that was positive.

"If you have good performances, you will get good results.

"If we are the top of our game we will win games in Scotland and also have good results in Europe. Last night was a good experience for them."
