Sturm Graz sporting director Gerhard Goldbrich has hit out at continuing speculation linking the club's manager Darko Milanic with Leeds United.

Milanic has been strongly linked with the Championship club, with suggestions in England that a deal is all but done for the Slovenian to take charge at Elland Road.

But Sturm Graz insist they have had no contact with Leeds and Goldbrich revealed he has spoken to Milanic, who has told him rumours surrounding his future are just par for the course.

"There has been no enquiry and no offer, not to Sturm nor to Darko himself", Goldbrich told SportNet.

"The Sun [a British newspaper] are always quite quick at spreading rumours.

"I've spoken to Darko – such rumours appeared every few weeks during his time at Maribor."

Milanic took over at Sturm Graz last year, arriving at the Austrian Bundesliga club from Slovenian side Maribor, who he led to four Slovenian titles.

Leeds are at present bossed by academy chief Neil Redfearn, who is filling in on a temporary basis following the sacking of David Hockaday earlier this season.
