Hull City are already thinking about the January transfer window and one star under consideration is Southampton's Victor Wanyama.

The Tigers grabbed a 2-2 draw away at crisis club Newcastle United today, while Southampton took all three points by winning 1-0 at Swansea.

Wanyama came off the bench at the Liberty Stadium and soon showed his quality with a classy goal from around 12 yards out.

The former Celtic man has started three games for the Saints this season, but of late has found himself slipping out of the starting eleven and onto the bench.

According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Steve Bruce's Hull are now looking towards Wanyama as a potential signing.

Bruce is a firm fan of the Kenyan international, who has struggled to hit the heights envisaged when Southampton paid Celtic £12.5m to sign him in the summer of 2013.

It remains to be seen however whether Southampton will be open to selling the 23-year-old in the new year.
