Manchester United starlet Tyler Blackett has revealed that manager Louis van Gaal is not all serious, with the Dutch tactician able to "enjoy a laugh" too.
Van Gaal has a reputation as a disciplinarian who does not suffer fools gladly. And the former Bayern Munich boss has insisted upon complete focus and hard work in order to help Manchester United break back into the Premier League's top four.
Blackett has been a beneficiary of Van Gaal's arrival at the club, being handed first team opportunities by the new boss.
And the young defender is loving the experience.
"It’s been good. I’ve played some good games, everyone’s been treating me well and I’ve been enjoying it", Blackett told MUTV.

"It’s everything I have dreamed of since I was little. To be playing at Old Trafford in front of all the fans is everything I’ve always wanted. It’s been brilliant."
Blackett also revealed that Van Gaal is not just serious, as he is so often portrayed.
"The banter’s been good in the dressing room and on the training pitch too", he said.
"The manager’s enjoyed that too – he’s serious, but he enjoys a laugh as well."
