Luis Enrique is happy at the way Barcelona handled their Champions League exertions and managed a comfortable win against Levante last night.

The Catalans giants thrashed Levante 5-0 away from home to continue their 100 per cent start to the new league season.

Barcelona remained on top of the table on 12 points, but Enrique said that it is too early in the campaign to discuss league positions.

However, the Barcelona manager is pleased with the way his side continued their winning ways despite their midweek European sojourn.

"We'll talk about our league position later, we've hardly played any games yet", Enrique told the club’s official site.

"But I’m glad we dealt so well with a game after having the Champions League midweek. That’s always difficult.”

Barcelona just about managed to beat APOEL Nicosia in their midweek Champions League clash, 1-0.

However, Enrique said that despite Barcelona’s fearsome attacking talent, sometimes things don’t work out; but it worked out well against Levante.

"Every game throws up different complications and sometimes things work out for the better, sometimes not”, he continued.

“The goals that wouldn’t come against APOEL did come against Levante. We need to work out solutions for anything that our opponents might do.”

The Blaugrana take on Malaga away from home in a midweek La Liga fixture on Wednesday.
