Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is expecting a more open La Liga this season with more teams fighting at the top of the table.

Atletico Madrid broke the nine-year old stranglehold that Real Madrid and Barcelona had on Spanish football by winning La Liga last season.

Barcelona have made a strong start to the season by winning all their opening four fixtures, but are closely followed by Sevilla in second.

Ancelotti feels that this season’s La Liga will be more open and expects a few more teams, other than the usual suspects, to fight for the top position.

Real Madrid are seventh in the league table on six points, behind the likes of Valencia and champions, Atletico Madrid.
