Robert Pires has revealed he has been keeping fit with his former club Arsenal in preparation for his involvement in the Indian Super League.

The Frenchman has picked up his boots again to turn out for FC Goa in the first season of the new league set-up, which aims to put Indian football on the map.

The 40-year-old last played competitive football for Aston Villa in 2011 and questions have been raised over his fitness levels.

But today, at a media event at a hotel in Mumbai, which also included FC Goa coach Zico, Pires dispelled any doubts.

"I'm still training with Arsenal", the French winger revealed.
