Fernando Torres has expressed his delight after scoring his first AC Milan goal in the club’s 2-2 draw with Empoli last night, but insisted that he would gladly exchange his strike for the full three points.

The Spaniard, who joined the Italian giants from Chelsea on a two-year loan deal during the summer transfer window, found the back of the net in the closing stages of the first half.

AC Milan were trailing by two goals then and Torres’ effort reduced their arrears before Keisuke Honda’s strike after the break made it 2-2.

And Torres, who revealed that he is still not fully fit, explained that he still trying to get used to the Rossoneri’s style of play.

“I am happy for the goal, but I would gladly exchange it for 3 points”, the striker told the club’s official site.

“I am trying to adapt to the needs of the team. The opposition were very close and I tried to get the ball in between the lines to help the team. I am better physically, not yet 100%, but I am available to play.”

Torres, who has scored 45 goals in 172 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea, boasts 109 caps and 38 strikes for Spain to his name.
