Adrien Rabiot’s demand for a new bumper contract at Paris Saint-Germain is likely to fall on deaf years hence the Frenchman is expected to leave the club next summer.

Rabiot’s future at PSG was a source of constant speculation this summer and the likes of Arsenal, Juventus and Roma were all linked with a move for him.

He has only one year left on his deal with the French champions and has demanded assurances on his playing time before signing a new contract, which PSG have so far refused to offer.

PSG are still trying to negotiate a new contract with the Frenchman, but he has asked for a salary of €5m per season, which the club are reluctant to offer, according to Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.

The player is likely to leave the club for a nominal transfer fee in January or for nothing next summer.

Although Giallorossi coach Rudi Garcia has vehemently denied that a deal to sign Rabiot is in place, Roma are the favourites to land the Frenchman.

However, they might face stiff competition from Juventus, who are closely monitoring the situation in France and are eager to sign the highly-rated young midfielder.

Arsenal were also keen to sign Rabiot this summer and it remains to be seen whether they follow up on their interest once the youngster becomes available.
