Italian giants Inter Milan have announced that former defender Ivan Cordoba has left the club by mutual consent.

The Colombian international joined the Nerazzurri in 1999 and was an integral part of Inter Milan's defence until 2012.




During the course of his stay Cordoba managed a total of 455 appearances for the Italian side, scoring 18 goals.

 


Since playing his last match for the club in 2012, the Colombian worked with the team as a manager.

"FC Internazionale and Ivan Cordoba announce that they have mutually agreed to end their working relationship", a statement on the club's official site revealed.

"FC Internazionale would like to pay tribute to an unforgettable player and a great man. We wish him all the best for the future."

Cordoba earned a total of 73 caps for Colombia between 1997 and 2011, scoring five goals.
