Marco Verratti has rubbished speculation of a rift in the Paris Saint-Germain squad and said that there are no problems.

After three wins and four draws, PSG are currently fourth in Ligue 1 on 13 points and are three points behind league leaders Marseille.




There were rumours that the current squad are not sure about the tactical ability of manager Laurent Blanc and there is a rift among the players.

But Verratti rubbished such speculation and said that there is no problem within the squad.
 


He admits that when he first came to the club there was a rift between the French players and the foreign contingent of the squad, but at the moment the PSG squad are in perfect harmony.

“In the initial years, there were problems”, the Italian told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“The French saw so many foreigners arriving and they had some difficulties but the last two years, there have been no problems. We celebrate our birthdays together.”

The Italian also revealed the respect that Zlatan Ibrahimovic commands in the PSG squad.

“When Ibrahimovic speaks, we all listen to him as he never says anything stupid.”

Verratti has made 87 appearances for the Parisians and won two Ligue 1 titles with the club.
