Andre-Pierre Gignac has floated the possibility of him staying at Marseille, despite being linked with English giants Liverpool.

The French striker sees his contract at the Stade Velodrome expire at the end of the season and he has yet to pen an extension to keep him at the south coast Ligue 1 side.

That has alerted a number of clubs to the possibility of a cut-price deal in January or a free transfer next summer.

But Gignac, who has hit eight goals in eight Ligue 1 games so far this term in a strong start, has refused to rule out remaining with Marseille.

"I'm open to everything", he told RMC, when asked about his future.

"How about a sixth year, a seventh, an eighth, a….well, after that I am going to get old!" he added.

One sticking point over a new deal for Gignac is thought to be the salary on offer at Marseille, which would need to see the 28-year-old take a pay cut to remain.

Gignac joined Marseille in 2010 from Toulouse for around €16m.
