Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho intends to hand Diego Costa starts against both Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League tomorrow and Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Blues have seen Costa struggle with injury throughout his stay at Stamford Bridge so far and Mourinho recently admitted that the Spain international can barely train at present.

But Mourinho intends to play Costa in what are two big games for Chelsea, taking on Sporting Lisbon having drawn their group stage opener against Schalke, and then locking horns with Arsenal in the Premier League.

"There is a risk, but he plays", Mourinho told a press conference in Lisbon.

"We assume the risk. Hopefully everything goes well and hopefully from Tuesday to Sunday he has enough period of time to be back on track and to play against Arsenal", the Portuguese added.
