Darko Milanic does not intend to play defensive football at Leeds United and wants to see his players develop an attacking mentality.

Milanic arrived to take charge of Leeds recently, landing from Austrian club Sturm Graz with a reputation for being a cautious manager, who is keen for his sides not to concede goals.

And Leeds defender Jason Pearce revealed that Milanic's early training sessions with the squad were about working on shape, in order to be solid.

But the 46-year-old is clear that he does not want to build a side that will focus only on keeping the opposition out.

Ahead of tomorrow's Championship clash with Reading, Milanic told LUTV: "I want us to attack more, to have an offensive mentality.

"I don't want us to defend for all the game. It is not my style."

The Slovenian is also clear about what he wants to see from his players when they lock horns with the Royals tomorrow at Elland Road.

"Tomorrow we'll have [to have] a lot of tempo, a lot of dynamic. We have to be very aggressive and we have to be quick with our reactions, because the opponent is very quick."
