West Ham United striker Diafra Sakho has urged his side to replicate their second half display against Manchester United throughout the course of the season.

The Hammers, who went down fighting 2-1 to the Red Devils at the weekend, are currently 13th in the Premier League with seven points from six games.

However, despite the defeat, Sakho feels his side should be confident after their performance after the break at Old Trafford.

Sam Allardyce’s side had Manchester United reeling in the second period, and Sakho wants more of the same from West Ham this season regardless of their opponents.

"We can be confident because everyone's seen the performance we've produced on Saturday”, the forward told his club’s official site.

“We had them in trouble, particularly in that second half.

“We played really well after the break and we're going to try to [replicate that] all the time, whether it be against the big clubs or against the smaller clubs at home – to play in that same manner and win games."

Sakho, who joined West Ham from French side Metz this summer, has already found the back of the net four times for his new employers, including a goal against Manchester United.
