David Luiz hopes that Paris Saint-Germain's thrilling 3-2 win over Barcelona in the Champions League last night can put their season back on track.

The French champions have had a mixed start to the campaign and sit just fourth in the Ligue 1 standings, while they could only draw their opening Champions League match against Ajax.

However, they made home advantage count at the Parc des Princes last night and goals from Luiz (10th minute), Marco Verratti (26th minute) and Blaise Matuidi (54th minute) proved too much for Barcelona, who scored through Lionel Messi (11th minute) and Neymar (56th minute).

"Everyone gave everything", Luiz said post match via UEFA.

"This game came at the right moment", the Brazilian continued.
