Casper Sloth admits he is delighted with the start to his Leeds United career, especially that he has featured in the team on a regular basis despite managerial upheaval.

The Danish midfielder arrived at Elland Road from AGF in his homeland towards the end of August. Leeds are thought to have paid around £500,000 to snap up the 22-year-old.

When he arrived Leeds were bossed by David Hockaday, who was quickly sacked after a run of three defeats in the first four Championship games.

Soon Sloth was working under caretaker boss Neil Redfearn, who led the Whites to three wins in four league fixtures before returning to his role with the club's academy.

Now Slovenian Darko Milanic is Leeds' permanent manager – and he has kept faith with Sloth, deploying him in an attacking midfield role in last night's 0-0 draw with Reading.

It all adds up to a positive and promising start for the Denmark international.

"When you come in as a new one, you never know whether you will play right from the start, but I'm glad that I've played every game except one. It's very positive", Sloth told Bold.

"I also feel that I have played some good matches, which has given me some credit.

"So far it has been very positive", he added.

Sloth will now be hoping to help Leeds to their first win under Milanic on Saturday when Sheffield Wednesday visit Elland Road for a Yorkshire derby.
