Andre-Pierre Gignac does not believe it should be automatically assumed that he will leave Marseille.

The France international has started the season in red hot form for Marseille, scoring eight goals in eight Ligue 1 games and as a result being linked with a whole host of clubs, including Liverpool.

His situation is further complicated by the fact that he has just one year left to run on his contract at the Stade Velodrome and has yet to pen an extension.

But Gignac explained he has often snubbed offers to quit Marseille and may yet remain at the club.

He told France Bleu: "I'm open to everything, we'll see.

Last term he notched up 16 in Ligue 1 action.
