Mirco Antenucci will be disappointed to have missed golden opportunities for Leeds United today, fellow striker Steve Morison believes.

The Italian played his part in Leeds' 1-1 draw against Sheffield Wednesday at Elland Road in a Championship clash, featuring for 80 minutes before being replaced by Morison.

Leeds fell behind against the Owls in the 52nd minute when Chris Maguire got on the end of a cross to drive the ball past Whites goalkeeper Marco Silvestri.

Darko Milanic's men did grab an equaliser however, though it came from the unlikely boot of defender Giuseppe Bellusi, who side-footed the ball home in the 79th minute.

Leeds did have chances to win the fixture, but Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Kieran Westwood was in fine form.

Nevertheless, Morison revealed that Antenucci missed chances which he would normally convert with ease in training, something he is sure the Italian is unhappy with this evening.

"I think it's a tough one. First half they had a few more chances than we did", Morison told LUTV, when asked about whether the result was a fair one.

"Second half Mirco's had a couple of excellent chances. He'll be kicking himself because he'd have buried them in training", he added.

The former Norwich man also admitted that having been behind heading into the final eleven minutes, Leeds were, on the balance of things, pleased to grab a draw.

"I suppose when you go 1-0 down you take a point", he added.
