Arsenal legend Robert Pires admits he sees himself as a teacher through his stint in the Indian Super League.

Pires has signed on with FC Goa for the new league in India and will play his first game in the club's opener against Chennaiyin FC tomorrow.

The Frenchman is FC Goa's marquee player and, surrounding by young Indian talents, admits he feels a responsibility to pass on his knowledge of the game.

"Yes of course they ask me for my advice. And I think it’s good and like I said earlier I feel like a teacher and I am here to teach them", Pires told a press conference, when asked if Indian players ask him for advice.

"There’s quality in football in India and now you have a chance to learn good football as well", he continued.
