Eintracht Frankfurt would like to keep Lucas Piazon from Chelsea on a permanent basis, but accept it is more likely that the Blues will only agree to a fresh loan.

The Brazilian forward joined the Bundesliga side on a season-long loan deal in the summer and has already made a positive impression at the club.

Fans are crossing their fingers that Piazon can stay at the club permanently, but Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Bruno Hubner feels a fresh loan is more realistic.

"We will hold talks in any case", Hubner told Bild, when asked if Eintracht Frankfurt could keep Piazon.

"I can imagine perhaps that Chelsea loan him to us again.

"That is what we're concerned with because he has shown what he can do.

"I also believe that the Bundesliga is the right platform for him because he can still acquire the physical nature he is missing, added to his playing skills.

"If Lucas can learn to succeed here, then he can make the next big step."

Piazon has so far made five appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga, scoring one goal.
