Roma defensive midfielder Seydou Keita believes his side have shown that they are “no pushovers” in the Champions League.

The Serie A outfit, who were placed in Group E of the Champions League along with Bayern Munich, Manchester City and CSKA Moscow, have managed to pick up four points from their opening two fixtures.

The Giallorossi opened their European campaign with a 5-1 win over CSKA Moscow before drawing 1-1 with Premier League champions Manchester City in their second Champions League fixture.

And Keita, whose side are currently second in their Champions League group, is happy with Roma proving the general notion wrong that Bayern Munich and Manchester City would be the clubs to progress to the knockout round from Group E.

“When the draw was made, everyone said that Munich and Manchester would be the clubs to progress”, he told FIFA’s official site.
