Galatasaray have once again entered the race to sign German World Cup winner and Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski.

The Germany international was wanted by Galatasaray and Juventus after the World Cup, but injuries to key attacking personnel at Arsenal meant Arsene Wenger was not ready to lose Podolski in the summer.

But the 29-year-old continues to enjoy only fringe player status at the Emirates and is still waiting for his first league start of the new campaign.

Earlier this month the striker, who still has two years left on his contract with the Gunners, did say that he is not exactly happy with his situation at Arsenal.

Galatasaray, one of the clubs who showed interest in the summer, is keen to re-enter the race for the signature of the German international, according to Sport Mediaset.
